Lactation and Feeding Support

Liz will spend a minimum of 90 mins in the comfort of your home to assess and discuss concerns and challenges that you may be facing. With a thorough understanding of your individual situation, Liz will create and implement a practical plan that is the right fit for you and your baby.

Many hurdles’ parents face with breastfeeding can be overcome with the right advice and support. Such challenges include but are not isolated to

  • positioning and attachment difficulties

  • shallow latch

  • Breast and nipple pain / damage

  • Expressing / Pumping

  • weight loss greater than 10%

  • Low or over supply

  • Mastitis / Engorgement / Vasospasm

  • Allergies and intolerances

  • Supplementation

  • Suspected tongue tie (and management of)

  • Multiples

  • Breast refusal

As an IBCLC and registered Midwife, Liz maintains current and evidence-based skills and practice to ensure she delivers the very best care to Families. Providing one-on-one support, Liz will enable you to trust your instincts and feel confident with feeding your baby.

With in-home consultations, virtual appointments, and ongoing support, Liz is committed to helping mothers breastfeed successfully—in a way that works best for them and their family.

  • 1-hour consultation in your home to provide you with a greater understanding of Breastfeeding and what to expect during early days with your new baby. A perfect opportunity to discuss expectations & concerns before your baby arrives. It is easier to prevent breastfeeding issues than it is to resolve them once they start.

    Cost : $150

  • Duration: Approx 90mins

    In the comfort and privacy of your home.

    We will observe and assess a full breastfeed. Issues and concerns will be addressed. Strategies and techniques will be discussed and implemented as necessary to ultimately overcome any challenges you are experiencing.

    Cost: $220

    (includes summary of key points from consultation via email or SMS) and a follow up text.

  • After initial Lactation Consultation

    Includes:
    - Two weeks of SMS support (7am-9pm) ~ 7 days a week
    - Two FaceTime calls (15 minutes each) ~ when needed

    Breastfeeding challenges and questions can arise at anytime - our on call SMS support ensures you have expert help when you need it. Think of it as a Midwife and Lactation Consultant at your fingertips. Many client reviews suggest the ongoing support Liz offers is both essential and incredibly worthwhile.

  • Zoom, Telehealth, or FaceTime
    Duration: 1 hour

    Perfect for regional families who still want professional support in the comfort of their home. This is also an option for any family who do not need an in person or home visit, however, will benefit expert and up to date advice regarding all things feeding, parenting and the pre & postnatal periods. At Magnolia Midwifery, we pride ourselves on the ongoing support we provide to our families who do not have immediate access to postnatal care at this vulnerable time.

    Cost: $150
